Brands are an essential component in Cellar, representing your winery or labels. Some users may only have one brand, while others may have several. Follow the instructions below to set up a new Brand in Cellar.

General Setup

1. In the Cellar admin, navigate to Settings > Brands.

2. Click on the “Create” button at the top of the page.

3. Under the General tab, fill in the Brand details.

  • Title: The name of your brand.
  • Contact Information: Include a phone number and email address for customer inquiries.
  • Taxes: Add the Goods and Services Tax (GST) number associated with this brand. If applicable, include your Provincial Sales Tax (PST) or British Columbia Liquor Distribution Branch (BCLDB) store number.
  • Stripe Receipt EmailThe default email used to send receipts to when no customer email is provided.
  • Logo: Upload your brand’s logo.

4. Click the “Save” button.

Once the General tab is completed and a Brand has been created, it can be edited by clicking the pencil icon on the main Brand page. Several new tabs will now be available for further customization.

Shipping

If you ship wine, you will need to add shipping options to your Brand. For users of CanadaPost, LoomisExpress, and ATS, you have the option to include an API key to automatically generate shipping costs in Cellar.

1. Under the Shipping tab, click the “Add Company” button.

2. Select a company from the drop-down menu.

3. Enter the API key provided by the shipping company.

4. Check the box next to “Active”.

5. Click the “Save” button.

Note: For shipping companies without API keys, you are able to manually add shipping costs to orders when creating a new order in the Cellar admin. See How to Create a DTC Order or How to Create a Commercial Order.

WineDirect Integration

For information on the WineDirect tab, refer to the guide How to Sync WineDirect with a Cellar Brand.

ContainerWorld Integration

If you are a ContainerWorld user and would like to sync your inventory with Cellar, add your ContainerWorld Username, Password, Customer Number, and Supplier Number under the ContainerWorld tab and click the “Save” button. If there are discrepancies in your inventory imports from ContainerWorld, they will appear under Inventory > ContainerWorld Exceptions
